About The Artist //

Jory Turcotte is a country/folk singer-songwriter from Pembroke, Ontario. She has grown up in the music scene of the Ottawa Valley, playing in bars and restaurants as young as age 11. Her musical tastes are diverse although her most prominent influences include other singer-songwriters such as Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Joni Mitchell, The Cranberries, and Sarah McLachlan. 

 

Jory has professionally recorded music at Zander’s Road Studios, where she recorded two original songs in 2008 for a collaborative album called Ear to the Ground. Jory has also lent her voice to the Ghost Town Cryer’s title track from their album Spectre in the Woodshed. After graduating from university in 2017 with a degree in English and Education, Jory continues to write, sing, and play as much as she can.
